This greenbelt land is a valuable resource (in the cherished sense), and is the home for much wildlife as well as arable and livestock farming.</p>
<p>Song birds such as the <a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/s/skylark/index.asp" target="_blank">Skylark</a> and the <a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/y/yellowhammer/index.asp" target="_blank">Yellowhammer</a>, both on the RSPB red list, can be heard and seen in the area. Prey birds such as <a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/k/kestrel/index.asp" target="_blank">Kestrels</a>, <a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/b/buzzard/index.asp" target="_blank">Buzzards</a> and <a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/r/redkite/index.asp" target="_blank">Red Kites</a> have also been spotted.</p>

These are pictures of some artefacats that I found in the watery lane area of Keresley. This flint has been positively identified by Archaeologists at Coventry Historic Environment Project as Mesolithic and therefore 15000 years old and is due to go on display at the Herbert at gallery.<br />
<a href="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230005.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-74" title="p9230005" src="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230005-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a><br />
The Council archaeological report indicates stone age activity is in the Corley area only but, this proves that is totally incorrect&#8230;..in fact, many of the high ground ridges in the area would of been safe havens for our prehistoric ancestors&#8230;&#8230;I would urge people to get out there find as many of these as you can and get them to us so we can take the fight forward to preserve the entire area (remember you must seek the land owners permission). Flint doesnt occur naturally in the Warckshire area so anything we find in the fields was brought here to be worked in prehistoric times.</p>
<p><a href="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230008.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-76" title="p9230008" src="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230008-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Also shown are some clay pipes - another indicator of years of agricultural land use by our ancestors&#8230;&#8230;.</p>
<p><a href="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230006.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-75" title="p9230006" src="http://greenbeltgrab.org.uk/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/p9230006-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>if you could get people to bring their finds and location that would be great&#8230;.even gardens can be a good place to look&#8230;&#8230;.</p>
